So, I got to shoot for this precious, precious newbie, and her equally precious family. I was so excited as well to use this beautiful little organic green headband I found. I have to give some credit to Lindsey Marie for this,..she is the designer of some beautiful little props for babies. But back to these sweet pics! I have known this little ones' grandmother for a bit, and she decided that her new grandbaby needed a Camden Photography gift certificate,..so here we are! And SO glad to do it! And loving how these came out! I especially have to say I got so excited to see the pictures of Mommy and Daddy as little ones sitting on the dresser when I walked into their room,...how in the world could I not put that sweet little girl in between them when I saw that,..and to catch a smile,..well, that was truly icing on the cake!! And then when little bit finally got completely worn out and truly fell fast asleep in the little stroller,..well, I think we stood around for about 20 minutes just tickled because she was so durn cute!!
So, I hope, hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed doing them!

Sweet Little A | Happy One Year!

So, I have been photographing sweet little miss A the whole first year of her life, and have loved each moment of it! She just turned one, and it just amazes me, as it has with my own just how quickly the time goes by. I'm so glad we have these little moments frozen in time because I am really learning it will all be gone way too fast. I pray we all treasure them! So, happy birthday sweet girl, and as it is actually her mommy's birthday today, I hope this serves as a sweet birthday present for you today as well! Thank you for letting me spend this year with you all! I've treasured it!

And I promised the bridesmaids I would put up the 'Charlie's Angels' pic, so here they are in their rockin' poses! I'm just so happy to be shooting for this sweet couple. Truly you can see their love for each-other so evident in watching them,..I think they actually forgot we were there for a moment or two here and there throughout the shoot. And I just love that they each have little boys only a couple of years apart,..both with the names, Braden, who we shot some with at the beginning of the session,..could they be any cuter, as well,..I'm thinking not?! And location,..AMAZING. Brandon's grandparents live on a farm in Huntsville, AL,...(also close to an old train depot),..and I just don't think we could have had a more perfect location or weather for this shoot. It was all things combined just about perfect.

Okay, so this is why a good majority of my photographer friends have sworn off child photography. I don't know why but it tickles me. Maybe because for a moment it's not one of my little three (who are all 5 and under)! But it doesn't stress me. I think because it's at this moment, that I know there is probably not a thing in the world I can do to change what it is. It is what it is. It's real life. Both beautiful and laughable. And I think it solidifies that we're all just the same,..we're all in this together, and we all go through most of the same things, joys, pains, things that don't go entirely our way, or even close sometimes, and even crying babies, who are seemingly doing it when you most don't want them to! But you know what,..these are the pictures I love. Not because I like for my sweet babies to be sad, but because it's just real; real moments, happy or sad. Nothing contrived, but part of this life we live every single day. I'd rather live a moment of real, than to have felt like I had never really lived.
And the happy family pictures of a family that I adore, and especially the shoes in the mouth, don't make me sad at all either!

My wishes that you and those close to you have a Merry and well lived Christmas!

Well, I'm not even really sure where to start this blog entry.
This afternoon I was able to photograph a family I have come to know over the past few years, and really kind of feel like they are family now. I photographed their daughter's wedding, and then the welcoming of a grandbaby/baby, and now today was able to photograph them again during another dear and bittersweet time in their lives. Without going into any level of detail, I just hope as you're reading this, you'll just say a little prayer for them. They're one of the sweetest families that I know, and I've been blessed to have rejoiced when they've rejoiced, and now am truly heartbroken as their hearts break too. I know life is full of so many moments, all different ones,..they just sometimes seem too few. I pray we'll all cherish as many single moments as we are given and not ever take for granted what God has given us in the people he has brought into our lives.

It makes me so happy to have clients who are becoming like family to me. After shooting a wedding for the mommy and daddy of this precious little one, and then again having the opportunity to do a shoot for their new little munchkin just makes my day! I love that people are thinking of me for progressively large moments in their life and I am getting to play such a role in theirs by documenting them!
I love these sweet pictures from their most recent shoot with their new little girl,..and I have to say Chloe their dog just adds to the character of these! So precious!

Sweet little angel

There are no words to describe this little bear. She was only here for a short time, but touched so many people while she was. She finished a long fight with cancer yesterday at 2:30 in the morning while she lay with her mommy and daddy in their bed.
I was blessed enough to have been able to take her pictures when they first discovered she was sick. And then subsequently got to rejoice with them when Aubrey received a liver transplant and was believed to be cancer free. Just a few short months ago, they found out the cancer had returned in full force and Aubrey would be earning her angel wings much before anyone here would have liked. She touched my heart and it all felt so close having a baby who was only 2 weeks different in age. She has made me hug on all of my babies a little tighter, and savor these moments I have with them. Her daddy has said, "maybe that was her purpose in life," because more than once he has heard that.
Her mom said what a hero Aubrey had been to her, but what an amazing family they all are, that so many people including myself are so blessed to know.
I know little baby girl is up in heaven running and dancing around, and snuggling up in her heavenly father's arms.
I pray for peace that surpasses all of our understanding to surround her family until they are all running around in heaven swinging their little baby around,..'healthy and whole.'

I am attaching an email from Michelle (Aubrey's mom). I know it will touch your hearts as it did mine.

Aubrey was the love of my life (along with Maddie of course!). It was hard to let her go, but I knew in my heart that it was for the best because now she can run around like she deserves, pain free and cancer-free. She truly was our Angel here on Earth, and Jeremy and I were so very blessed to be her parents. She will always be on our minds and in our hearts, wherever we go, whatever we do.

God bless all of you wonderful people who loved her so much. It has truly touched our hearts how much all of you have cared for her and prayed for her (and all of us, too).

While we were resting last night, Jeremy and I were holding Aubrey's hands, and she squeezed Jeremy's fingers right before she took her last breath, as if to say "it's okay daddy, I've seen the Angels, I'm going to be okay now". It was heartwrenching to watch her take her last breaths, I have to be honest, but I'm so glad that both Jeremy and I were there with her.

Thank you all again, so very much for your faithful prayers, love and support for all of us. We hope to see you Saturday. God bless.

Twice the love! I was looking foward to shooting these two little ones for several months before we actually shot them! We did the shoot a little later than I would normally do a newborn; they came over a month early, so based on when they should have been born I believe they would have been close to the two weeks, but were a little more awake than the normal newborn session. We ended up breaking it into two sessions, but we got some really sweet shots. Love this one!

I've not been the best at updating recently,..I've been too busy! But I had to post these. I got to shoot this sweet, sweet couple for their engagement portraits a couple of days ago. Regardless of the fact that we almost got kicked out from where we were shooting (can you believe you would get into trouble with a couple of doctors? :) ),..it was totally worth it and a lot of fun! So I got a chance to take these pictures today for my favorite framer in Woodstock,..Kathy at the Picture Framer and her grandson Aidan,..isn't he beautiful!? His daddy has Japanese heritage and his Mommy, American,...and he just came out gorgeous! I don't know why,..but I have always wanted to adopt a baby boy with some Japanese heritage,....can I just take him home with me, Kathy? Just for a bit,..I'll give him back! Totally joking,..but he was precious and it is always fun to see what you get when you're not always 100% sure exactly what you got! He did great,..but at 15 months they often have an agenda of their own! But I am so happy with what we did get,..precious,..Mommy will love them,..so sweet of you Kathy to do for her! Enjoy!

Amazing rooms,..we slept with those french doors open all night,..I have always wanted to be somewhere I could do that! So peaceful!

It always takes me a bit to get up pictures that are my own! I am really excited to get these done. Steve and I had a GREAT monday trip a couple of weeks ago. I was very thankful to get to meet with a fav photog of mine and check out her studio,..huge thank you to Ben and Heather! Thank you guys! And was also so excited another fav of mine just happened to be there,..truly thrilled to have met you Tana as well!

Then we got an amazing chance to start a relationship with another amazing business lady in Pisgah, AL and had an awesome chance to spend a night in a "beyond words" picturesque setting of Gorham's Bluff! Truly, what an amazing, and truly hospitable host! These pictures absolutely do not do this place justice! I was just able to grab a couple of quick snapshots,..not the kind of shooting I could have spent hours on here! Though I am absolutely looking foward to going back to do some shooting in the future! We slept with the doors open and a beautiful cd playing,..relaxed while taking in a wordless view,..had a couple of top notch (don't think I could have had better anywhere) meals,..went bikeriding, and hiking during a way too short stay!Thank you again Dawn,..so much! We were so excited to have met you,..you gave us an amazing stay! And I highly recommend a trip here for anyone who would LOVE a amazingly peaceful and relaxing stay,..truly,..you will not be disappointed! Babies Don't Keep

A friend of mine posted on FaceBook the other day that she was sitting there cuddling her little one with the full cognisence of everything that needed to be done around the house,..but knew what she was doing at the moment was much more meaningful. Someone responded to her with this poem by Ruth Hamilton (seems it does have an known author, though we've all heard it :) ).

So I shot this newborn yesterday and got this beautiful shot of him and his sweet mom. It totally brought this poem and the post to remembrance,..I love how it turned out. (You can click on the picture to make it bigger. :) )

He was the ring bearer (or as he told us prior to, the ring master,..my mom warned us, "no, he has it right,..he knows what he is talking about!",..and he did,..as always!) Seacrest & Martinique Shoot!

The Seacrest/ Martinique shoot went AMAZING!!! Minus some rain in Seacrest where we had to reschedule a couple the following Sunday all went fairly without a hitch! The rain on Thursday actually made the water following it look that much more amazing,..and the clouds provided for some amazing softbox lighting! I ended up with 11 shoots all together, so here is the first batch of sneak peeks (rest of the sneak peeks should be up soon!) And special SPECIAL thanks to Sieta for making it an even more amazing shoot by letting us borrow her beautiful couch (AND helping get it out there!) Her pictures of her and her husband (below; who by the way I can claim some responsibility for matching up about 10 years ago?!) are absolutely gorgeous!!!

These two look like they came straight from an Abercrombie ad,..aren't they beautiful!!

This beauty was a little upset at us for not letting her jump in the water nearby, so we weren't entirely sure exactly what we had actually gotten. But, in all honesty, had this been the only picture from her whole shoot,..it would have been so worth it! This absolutely goes in my handful of favorites ever,....true beauty.

I am so glad the rain cooperated for this little one, and I had you both turn around to make this shoot,..especially as you came all the way from Birmingham! I would have hated to have come so close and not made it! These are so beautiful to me (and yes, I have never had one this little cooperate quite so well,..she was awesome!)

Seacrest Mini Shoot!

I am SO very excited! Our Seacrest mini shoot session will be here tomorrow! I have finalized the Seacrest shoot schedule, and will post it below. I also need to send out directions! We were a little up in the air on the location (carrying a couch down all of those steps leading to the beach I was unaware were there! But we can do it! Actually Steve and Ryan,..thanks guys!) The directions since I believe most will be coming from the PC side are as follows:

Follow 98 past Pier Park and keep going roughly another 9 or 10 miles until you hit the light at 30A. You will turn left on 30A and go another several miles (maybe 3 or so) and once in Seacrest/ Rosemary Beach you will come to two huge pillars on either side of the street; go a little past those and you will see Fonville press on your right and just past that right across the street will be Kings Castle road I believe is the name of it (on your left). Off in the distance toward the beach you will see a huge area with steps and pillars. You can't miss it, and you can't drive down there, but there is gravel you can park on outside of it and walk down. We will be on the beach directly behind it (just come down all of those steps! :) ). Call me if you have any questions 770-712-5853 and my husbands cell phone if I am shooting is 770-428-8414 (Steve).

I have been shooting these sweet little bears since they were little little,...something about these pictures makes me think of Strawberry Shortcake (maybe just the wistfulness and carefree moment in the life of these kids feel of these pictures). Maybe that just makes sense to me, and maybe it's just because they remind me of what it was like to be a kid...but I LOVE how these turned out (and I LOVE these two!)

Mother's Day

So this is truly my very first time blogging! I know, right,..if anyone should know how to do this and be doing it, it should be me! Anyway, these were my sweet little guys singing for me for mother's Day! After this was over, they asked each of the kids what they loved best about their mom. As the microphone was passed Camden's way, he said very proudly,.."MY mom always lets me ride my bike!" How priceless are these tiny blessings,..and how blessed to be called theirs!
